Strategic Finance for Creators, Studios & Platforms
I spent twenty-five years running the numbers inside the biggest studios in the business. Now I help people who make things decide what to charge, what to greenlight, and what the numbers are really saying.
Twenty-Five Years Inside
About

Norman Praught
Principal, Massasoit Advisory · San Francisco Bay Area
I've spent twenty-five years leading FP&A, content finance, and strategic planning across global media and tech, with senior roles at Disney, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks, Lucasfilm, and Amazon (Audible and Twitch). Along the way I priced films, planned original content slates, modeled creator monetization and platform economics, and built finance teams from scratch, including the one at Lucasfilm Animation.
I've also sat on the founder's side of the table. I co-founded Luminous Blue Limited, an independent studio building owned IP across games, shows, and physical products. Before that I started Netsuke Entertainment, a game company built around a character designed to live across multiple games. It failed. That experience taught me more about greenlight decisions than any memo I wrote inside a studio.

Where To Start
The work splits into two doors. Pick the one that sounds like you and I'll show you exactly what I do there.
For Creators
Rate work, revenue planning, and deal support for creators, podcasters, and small teams making real money from an audience. Fixed scope, named deliverables.
For Studios & Platforms
Greenlight analysis, creator and platform economics, deal structure, restructuring support, and fractional FP&A for studios, networks, platforms, and the people who back them. Scoped to the decision in front of you.
Lab
The Lab is where I build instead of advise. Three products, one thread: finance discipline applied where spreadsheets don't reach. Anyone can point AI at a spreadsheet now. Knowing which numbers matter and which answers to trust still takes someone who has been in the room.
Products

orcpin
LiveAn agent-native financial utility: headless, metered endpoints that AI agents call directly. No dashboard and no login. It's priced per call and sold to the agent, not the human.

ROYLEDGE
In DevelopmentKnow your royalties. All of them, in one place. Statements from every platform, read into one organized ledger that shows what you earned, what moved, and why, checked until it ties out to the penny. Your statements never leave your device. That is architecture, not a policy.

Perfinest
Private BuildPersonal finance for complicated balance sheets: many accounts, investments, property, and forecasts that have to hold up. Built for households whose money looks like a small business, because plenty of them do and the tools pretend otherwise.
